Language Studies:
"These spelling words are EASY!" was heard around the room as the Language Studies sheet was passed out. Yes, I hope so. These are still commonly misspelled words in our everyday writing. And after the spelling test that we all took today, it was evident that few studied for the test this week. Also, I am adding 3 vocabulary words that students should know. They will have to match or fill in the blank on the test on the 18th.

We are learning about different types of measurement and have a math homelink
3-2 to complete for the 18th. I provided an 8" paper ruler to use should there not be a yardstick, meterstick, ruler or tape measure at home.

READING CHALLENGE:
Your child should have brought home a reading "bingo" card that is attached to a pink explanation sheet.
I provided each student with a choice of titles from which to select four books to read by March 22. They are certainly permitted to read MORE! I am hoping that they will read at least two. If you have concerns for religious reasons about the titles provided, please let me know and we can make changes as you see fit.
After reading each book, students will complete a story summary & literary activity in class to demonstrate knowledge of the book read. Obviously, these books count towards reading logs & students are welcome to bring them in to class to read during transition times!
Please let me know of any further questions or concerns you may have.
